Giccs, horror, fantasy, comics, a pop-szürrealista stílus megalkotója: NYÁRI ISTVÁN.

A magyar hiperrealizmus élő ikonjáról készítettem egy sorozatot, a festőművész műtermében. Érdekes kísérlet volt ez számomra, hiszen először történt meg, hogy egy portré sorozatban, nem a saját stílusomat használtam, hanem éppen fordítva: István, hihetetlen szuggesztív képei hatottak rám annyira, hogy ki kellett lépnem az ábrázolás technikai komfort zónámból. Így ehhez a sorozathoz, víziókat, abszurd szituációkat találtam ki, a giccs és a horror műfaji elemeit ötvözve.

I have made these series of photos of the creator of the Hungarian hyper-realism in the artist’s studio. It was an exciting experiment for me since this is the first time I was not sticking to my own photographic style but the opposite. The impression of István’s incredibly suggestive pieces of art gave me such an input that made me step out from my own technical comfort zone. So in order to shot this series of photos I have created visions and absurd situations combining the genre elements of trash and horror.
