Retro Balaton

A Balaton nem csak Magyarország hanem, Közép-Európa legnagyobb tava. Rengeteg emlék köt ehhez a vidékhez mind a gyermek, mind az ifjúkoromból egészen a mai napig. Bár a tó és a környéke is sokat változott az elmúlt 30 évben, mégis sokszor úgy érzem, mintha megállt volna az idő. A strandok kis bódéiban mintha ugyanazt a lángost és hekket árulnák, mint a hetvenes években, a padokat bár sokszor átfestették, talán nagymamáink s ugyanonnan nézték a naplementét, a mai srácok ugyanúgy falják a görögdinnyét, mint annak idején mi tettük… Ezeket az állandó és változatlan életképeket örökítettem meg.

Balaton is the largest lake not only in Hungary, but also in Central Europe. Many memories are connected to this region, both from my childhood and from my youth up to the present day. Although the lake and its surroundings have changed a lot in the last 30 years, I still often feel as if time has stopped. In the small stalls on the beaches, they seem to sell the same „lángos” and heck as in the seventies, although the benches have been repainted many times, maybe our grandmothers watched the sunset from the same place, today’s guys eat watermelon in the same way as we did back then… These permanent and I captured unchanged images of life.
